Thesis 16

Released 5 November 2019

Gregory Euclide invited Martyn Heyne and Ben Lukas Boysen to be part of his unique Thesis Project, and by doing so opened a door to a wonderful and rare collaboration.  The concept of Thesis Project - two artists coming together to reflect the work of each other - had them spend some wonderful days recording in various studios as well as a reverberant church.  Coming from different angles on how they create their music individually, was key to making something they would not have by themselves. Letting concepts run freely and being inspired by each other’s ideas led to crafting these pieces.

THESIS 16 sounds like a mix of both artists and yet unique enough to surprise the avid follower. The music was released digitally as well as in a limited edition of 10" vinyl records. Each sleeve & jacket is meticulously handmade using a real letter-press, home made walnut ink, heavy acid free paper, a laser cutter and real milkweed flowers from the THESIS prairie.

Ben Lukas Boysen - editing, zen garden.
Martyn Heyne - guitar, organ.
Composed, mixed, and mastered by Martyn Heyne + Ben Lukas Boysen at Lichte Studio, Berlin.
Additional engineering by Matthias H. Franz Hahn. Vinyl cut by Mike Grinser at Manmade Mastering, Berlin
